How does the glove box fasten in. Is there more than just the band that goes around the back? I feel like it should fasten around the opening as well but I can't figure it out for the life of me

Nokak:

I installed a homelink device in my glovebox last summer and posted a thread. There are some pictures there that might help you with the mounting of the glovebox. I just undid the strap and pulled the glovebox away from the dash. I didn't have to disconnect the hood latch cable for what I was doing.

Have a look:

I need to do this. Many times I have had to remove my radio to open the hood.
