Got my fine from the HOA today so since I am on my own dime I will be working the cab area this weekend to finish welding in the floor and dealing with the wheel wells.

As they say in Nebraska, if your neighbors start giving you problems, you didn't buy enough land...

It's not the neighbors it is the mgmt company hired to monitor. It is a joke at this point, I was fined but they had to withdraw it after a quick conversation helping them understand how to count to 30 days. The warning and the fine did not line up (30 days). I imagine this episode is over as I told them the vehicle was operational and they said they would not issue anything else on it as long as it was parked on the wheels. They made it seem like I had it on blocks when they drove through both times.

Got the floor finished up and got the pedestals mostly finished have a little welding but the weather is getting poor so shutting down. The cab area is cleaning up better than I thought, was really an eyesore to begin with. Was able to free up the E brake as well.

Also removed the door frames and slapped some late model glass in there to get rid of the shrink wrap. Put the original emblem back on.

May be the last update for a bit. Have a few things going on the next couple of weekends.
The weather here has been terrible since Saturday and the cargo floor sections that were raw had turned a bright orange from flash rust. I was going to finish the inner wells but had to use up some por 15 to seal the cargo area. I still have to weld in the close out plate for the cargo door rods but figured I can touch that up later.

Clocked back into this thing this afternoon. The rear fender had some nasty tear and lost the tip over the years so I took a section of the long panel and made a replacement section.

Also was able to finally remove the drivers seat bracket. This was a pain in the neck to remove without damaging anything. Now the walkthrough base should fit nicely on this pedestal.

Been a while since I have even been at home much less working on the bus. My work typically requires travel but I was asked to go to Dallas for 10 days and work on a project for the company so I packed up and headed west. During that time though I was able to order some stuff to give me work to do when I got back.
My Gas tank had multiple pin holes so I bought an original one from Brendel20 on here and it arrived while I was gone. Also the Friday before I went out of town a buddy had decided to sell one of his spare motors so I grabbed it to have a running motor in this to be able to drive it around while I rebuild the other one.

While I was out I placed a sizable order with WW to get fuel and brake related parts.

Since I am almost at body work stage I decided to see if I could make it a runner while I do the body work. Saturday was dedicated to replacing all the brake lines, MC and Slave cylinders. I know brake work is not glamorous but required and is rewarding especially in a bus like this considering everything was locked up.
All new lines shining underneath.

The brakes went pretty smoothly so I installed the gas pedal bracket on the floor and all the pedals up front.
Next order of business was rebuilding my reserve tap. My cable is frozen to actually work it but it is ready when I get that fixed.

I installed the motor and attempted to start it. Motor spun well but no spark at all. My buddy slapped a 009 on it and did say he was not 100% if it was any good but he needed the Distributor that was on it and said he could give me another one but I just stopped fooling with it and ordered a HotSpark set up. I have seen it run so not overly concerned.

And while I was sitting inside I prepped the bullets from my other nose and put them on this one.

Thanks Paul,

Since I missed No Dough and BAP I do plan on making it to CTS. Most likely in the Westy though. I doubt this one will be ready for an unveiling of sorts. Maybe YU bugging though.

Waiting on the shifter coupler that I snapped but it does run. Fired right up once the Hotspark was wired up.

Thanks Earl.

Took it for a couple of test spins today. Weather is poor again so not much going to happen progress wise. I did swap the coupler but certainly not a simple swap, had to cut the coupler off the nosecone side.
The tranny shifts pretty smooth actually and pulled good to third, did not run up to 4th.
So here you go moving under it's own power again for the first time in over 30 yrs.Idle is high right now but it stops really good.
