|
|
These are sitting in a yard outside of Colorado Springs. I believe they need to be saved. I am not a bus guy, but I don't like to see old metal fade away. If you can save them or need parts, PM me and I will get you the number.
As with all yards, the owner is entertaining to deal with. What would it be if it wasn't a challenge?
The last one, in blue, has already gone under the torch for the rear shelf. The rest are pretty complete. I have more pictures of each. I was out there top look for other parts and decided to take pictures so that someone could use them. _________________ My Old 64 Field Find

I'm headed to a yard right now with buses, it closed in 2005 when the owner died so I'm going to pluck some goodies out today. Good times! _________________ 1971 Deluxe Sunroof Bay 1905 stroker, dual idf40's, 74mm Scat forged crank, engle 110 cam. CB 044 heads, AutoCraft rockers, chromoly push rods

Will do. I will take inventory of what's what and condition as well as get prices for those that may want one. _________________ Special Thanks to:

Update: well I tried;( the owner is a real fickle old guy and thinks he's sitting on gold. I doubt he even wants to sell them as he would not give me a price on any of them. He kept referring to book value for them in the thousands.
The buses were tired and need everything and for what he was eluding on selling them for seems he wants a big pile of cash to even discuss selling. _________________ Special Thanks to:

Sounds like he is not aware that "book prices" pretty much pertain to autos that are serviceable and run and can be registered and insured as a complete functioning vehicle. Someone might want to mention that when he mentions "book prices." I had no idea there was a published price guide for scrap!

If you mention anything like that you will not even get to see them. This guy is a pill. I mentioned I would pay market and he kept expressing he would no sell less than book value _________________ Special Thanks to:

That just tells me he doesn't really need or want the money! Because IMO any reasonable offer is worth considering. His convictions are not your convictions. These buses may be lost to history because of his convictions. A sad reality to be sure. Maybe if he blows enough offers out of the water and not a soul asks about them for a year or so he might reconsider his position when he comes to the realization that they are making him zero dollars just sitting there. |
