Not to ruin your party, but NEVER paint car and doors/hood/fenders at different time/day! Your doors are darker than the body

I didnt paint the bug... It was a body shop that did that but he said he will correct the problem or i will take him to court..
Look, ive had some sh** with body shops starting with this scum named David Hernandez of Oldie Goldie Restorations.
I have already gone through the consumer protection department and two hearings of which he lost both times.. Now im in the final phase where its restitution that i am requiring of him to pay.. He will lose again.. He should pay me the money he took from me or it will get more costly for him.. Im not playing games.. I worked hard for that money
Do a search on the samba and see how many people he has screwed over... Took me for $1,450.00
Body shops take a deposit then flip the script at which point you are screwed because they have your deposit

Installing the Tweed headliner from Sewfine..
I bought the conversion headliner that is literally a one piece and I thought it would be hard to but it was actually quite simple plus Carol Werner and Mike provided some great support when i needed it.
Putting on the JUTE insulation on the roof.. do not use Quick Roof up here.. you will regret it.
First things first is to install the JUTE insulation padding on the pillars
Separating the clips carefully
Headliner going in.. the bows are on tight.. being careful not to tear the tweed fabric
Laying down the Jute material.. $4.80 a Yard and I used up 4 yards
The Binder clips i bought at Office Depot for $17.00 for 144 pcs
It was cheaper this way than buying individual boxes 12pcs to a box
Honestly I didnt need them.. you would for a vinyl headliner but not for the tweed because it sticks quicker than vinyl.. so if anyone wants to buy these from me.. I have them.
when you get some adhesive overspray use Precleaner to remove it because it will not harm the paint... great stuff
Installing the new window.. only had 2" to go and then my cousins husband tried to help.. I told him to palm it and he used his fit instead. . Broke it on the first hit...
Shit I was pissed off...
I installed the rear window just fine after 3 attempts.. the trick is to use "Soapy Water" around the edge of the seal and the cutout on the bug
Makes it a whole lot easier to get the sucker on.

The color combo looks good. What material are on the seats?
The wheels standout against that blue. I am surprised you kept your side windows open with the rain. Nice build. |

It was after the 2013 Maseratti Gran Turismo that i used the same color scheme.
The matetial is vinyl but later will opt for leather because it sits better and less sticky in Florida humid weather.
I had no choice with the windows open because i couldnt install them since the outer scrapers that i received were the wrong ones sent so i had no choice but while i was moving it wasnt that much of an issue. My co-pilot (Wifey) dried things up with the chamois..
When we got to the park at the show it was torrential rain downpour so i put plastic on the doors.. So all was cool.

I had bought some chrome clear fog lights a while back but decided to go with Hella driving lamps.. one up front and one in the rear..
Now what to do with the Chome glass fog lights ?

Make it into a STOP Lamp
So i bought Gasser red vinyl window tint from China on ebay and this is the end result.. for $15.00 i have plenty to do a few more Stop lamps.. this stuff is not applied like regular window tint but it has a strong adhesive and i used a heat gun to stretch into place.. check it out !!

I have been having some issues with my oil pressure reading between 80-100 psi
I believe that at this point it may be a mismatched pressure sending unit not compatible with the VDO oil pressure gauge
so i was running 15W-40 Diesel oil and some other guys suggested going with a thinner racing oil and also to change out the Scat HD oil relief springs and run stockers since i have a 32mm gears HD oil pump.
Well here are the work details... i was blowing Fram oil filters...
I made a custom bracket to run this huge K&N 3001 Racing Oil Filter.
I had a FRAM HP1 before on the old bracket and it was way too low
I made a template out of cardboard with the holes as to where they should go and i tapped the upper ones for clearance issues that i may have
