Changed oil and installed front 3pt driver and passenger seat belts, and rear 2pt seat belts. Named her too! Got front page on www.1967beetle.com with my daughter! It has been a good week. |

Wire wheeled the rear luggage area, treated with a few coats of Red Oxide and them covered in sound deadening material.

After a couple of months of hard work, I got this '60 back on the road. It was supposed to be a father/son project and ended up being a father only project. Oh well, one more bug never hurt.

Gave it a jumpstart as the battery was dead and moved it to the driveway. Then had someone stop by and ask if was for sale. _________________ _________________

Slowly going from rust spot to rust spot. Its slow going getting the old spot welded sections out of the way.. Lots of grinding.also found some previous repair done but not the way I like to see it ..Leo

Finally got my fuel filter out of the engine compartment, ahh peace of mind! Also put new headlight rubber seals on and took off the "eyebrows". My wife likes them but I felt like they aren't that cool anymore LOL. _________________ 1961 Type 1 Ragtop Gulf Blue |

2000 miles after the engine was rebuilt in my '66 Beetle, I changed the oil to Amsoil 10W-40 full synthetic.
I also found out what was keeping the butter-fly levers from working on the heater boxes. One of the levers was dragging at the top against the heater box. I now have heat for next winter. _________________ Pearl White 1966 Sedan
