Super stoked to take part in this show again. If I do say so myself, this is the go to event of the year. This little town is full of history and is the perfect setting for our show. Weston is a place that you can come as a family and enjoy the great antique shops, winery, brewery, petting zoo, cigar shop and everything else the town has. If anyone is toying around with the idea of coming just do it and you'll be coming back every year. _________________ Justify denials and grip it to the lonesome end

Really great show last year, already registered for this year! Great family event, camping was a blast also! Beautiful spot - a huge thanks for the use of the land! This year is already promising to be better than the previous years! Can't wait!

I had to do some work in Weston last week, so I hung up a few flyers and the towns people know we are coming. They will be ready for the invasion of their town. _________________ Justify denials and grip it to the lonesome end

Messed up my leg real bad, so I've got just 4 weeks to be healed up well enough to enjoy the show.
John announced at the last club meeting that HotVW's will be doing a write up and photo shoot at the event. Print this preregistration sheet and get it mailed in today to save your spot.

I'm new to the area of Kansas but my bus is still in Washington State. I'm on the look out for some new VW friends. This look's like a great showing. I really want to check this out!! |

Come on out to the show by all means. Should be a great opportunity for you to meet some locals. The camping is open for Friday and Saturday if you chose to camp or even if you want to hang out for a while. I'll be playing the music for the show, so come by and introduce yourself. For anyone coming in Friday afternoon and have preregistered:
The meal on Friday will be held at the Farmer's House located at 23200 Hwy 273 in Weston, MO for our pre-registered guests. It is right off the highway, and just a little before you get to the camping location if coming in from the East on Hwy 273. It used to be the old Vaughns Orchard if you remember where it was and it is across from the Red Barn. The meal will consist of pulled pork sandwiches with sides of cheesy corn and cole slaw. The club will provide drinks. They will provide eating utensils. They tell me they will have a bluegrass band playing near where we will be eating as well. They have picnic tables outside the store there to eat on. If there is inclement weather, they do have some inside space we can utilize to eat our dinner. The registration crew will be at the Farmer's House to take registrations and pass out goody bags to those that pre-registered. The times to be there for the meal are from 6 - 8pm Friday May 16th. They do operate a gift shop full of stuff made by people with disabilities so come ready to browse and buy some cool items in their store. Here is their website if you have questions about what they do or need directions. http://www.thefarmershouse.org/ _________________ Justify denials and grip it to the lonesome end

Sounds great! I moved to Lansing. Not the first time I've moved to a state and didn't know anyone. Pretty much can get along with everyone. _________________ ~Eric |

Well, you're real close to Weston then. There are several people around the Lansing/Leavenworth area with VWs. Too bad your Bus will not be here, but there are others in your same situation coming out to enjoy the show. _________________ Justify denials and grip it to the lonesome end

Yeah not far away. Living in Cali for most of my life I had the Kelley park show, Sacramento, Vallejo, and most recently Portland Or shows. Did go to some shows by Jacksonville too when I lived there.
The bus won't be coming to the Midwest anytime soon. Need to find a garage or storage for her first then figure out shipping. Really looking forward to meeting some people and checking out the locals cars. Showing some rain Sat but it's still early in the week. Getting excited!! _________________ ~Eric |

unfortunately, i won't be able to make the show or defend my title on the pre-67 camper category (Randy, you can have it this year ....ha!).

Hope to make it out Saturday night to camp, though. _________________

Weather was great! What a neat little town. Met some nice people and saw some really nice cars. Everyone loved my girlfriends bus purse.
Whole different vibe than the West Coast. I really enjoyed myself. Hopefully things will fall into place and I can get my bus here soon.. _________________ ~Eric |

The camping and show was a smash this year!
Was a pleasure meeting you and the family. Her purse was snazzy for sure and well received. Glad you liked the show. I've never been to a West Coast show, so I'm not sure how it's done out there.
For those thinking about going next year this is part of the action that took place.
