Thanks, KJ! |

I run a similar plate on my slingshot dragster:
You need an adapter to bolt a flex plate to your VW crank, a machine shop should be able to make one from an old flywheel I would think.
You also have to figure out a starter. My powerglide is modified to mount the starter at the 12 o'clock position on the trans bellhousing. It's a reverse rotation starter.
The engine is suspended just like in a VW, no extra supports are needed. Don't run a huge cam, you'll need low end power for the torque converter.
I didn't originally build the car, so i'm not a huge wealth of info on this thing. _________________ Eric Allred

What I want to do is a Type 1 street car (front engine) I have a 2110 motor and a Turbo 350 trans. Most of the front end setups I have seen are for drag cars. I'm looking for someone that has built a front engine Type 1 street car! But so far no luck!
