Can anyone post all of the different lifters and pushrods for the Porsche pre A, with in the 2-pc case? Is there much difference in the 36hp lifter and the Porsche pre A , also can lifter be reground?
Any answers?

I can't post any pictures, but the 36hp lifters are one piece with the pushrods, ground to a cam like profile, and have a flat on one side that aligns with a plate in the case. The 356 lifters are two-piece with the push rod. I don't know whether the lifter profile is the same as the 36hp.

At least someone is looking at the question. There seems to be some modifications to the 36hp lifter to use longer pushrods when increasing the stroke. I was more looking for some of the guys on Vintage Speed to chime in. From all indications you can use the Pre A lifter in the 36hp case and adapt what ever length pushrod you need.
Well, on to something different.

They have an odd swivel mechanism on them.

36 & Porsche 356 2 piece use the same lifter, and ,yes they can be reground. I would suggest this: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=1464067 with custom length separate pushrods.

Thanks Jack, I have looked into the Blackline lifters. A good option.
Who regrinds the 2pc Porsche lifters?
