What's up samba?!

Just picked up my first VW...
A 1992 VW Cabriolet (Wolfsburg edition). I would like to lower and replace the stock wheels with something deep dish.

So my inquiries would be on suspension kits and wheel size for my cabby?

Any and all knowledge on this would be much appreciated -thanks.

Coilovers
Whatever wheel tickles your fancy on wheels. Larger than a16" wheel is goofy.

What he said^ Coilovers are the preferred choice, but you can also run a combination of struts/springs. I run Bilsteins/H&Rs and it works. Eibach, neuspeed make decent springs. Bilsteins are a rough ride because they are stiffer. The shaft on a Bilstein can be twice as thick as some other brands. I found Konis to be a bit mushy.
