I have a 69 bus. Bought new starter. It has one male connector. The old one had multiple connectors. There is one wire going toward the front of the bus. Small gage. Any ideas what to do with this or what it is for? Embarassed

You need a manual for a bus! But it is an easy goody to hook up, that wire you have, is it red?

Sounds like a mod or replacement. The wire from the starter switch to the solenoid should be a @12 gauge/ largish red wire. Look under your dash and find where it goes. There are free wiring diagrams up in the technical section.

Where does your white wire go? About the only thing I can think that someone would add to the #50 circuit would be some kind of alarm device, or maybe a bypass for an added external ignition ballast resister.
