As you know.. Our beloved buses are like ovens.. Hot little toasters cooking us in the AZ heat.
So Im going to retire the bus for a few weeks, drive with A/C.. and sort a few things out on Charlie the Chugalug...
First thing's first, I'll be fixing some wiring issues..
Next, ill be finishing my interior..
and finally, I would like your advice.
I have a 1700 t4 with dual ICTs and I want to know what the best distributor for this application is. My electronic ignition failed me, and I need to order a new one.. But i need to first figure out what kind out distributor I should have.
I have Hot-Spark's garbage little dizzy in there now, running on points. SO. I need a new distributor.
Any takers? _________________ '74 ShagWagen

So I am rebuilding my "can use" dizzy that is the DVDA I got with the bus. I ordered a new vac can (SVDA) because the DVDA can on it is no good :/ this is, by what you can see, a "can use" Bosch dizzy #0231173009
and I will be turning it into a 01234696969HJ. Hashtag Pervert.
Thanks Curtis! That's my dad's name _________________ '74 ShagWagen

The # symbol, called a hashtag |
Who let the dogs out? Why screw up something proven and good and well established?
The # symbol is the number symbol as in "the Samba is the #1 VW web site". Putting a different meaning on it is nothing more that a pile of #2 _________________ 71 Superbug

You're both wrong- it's the pound symbol. You know, like, "Stuart forgot to torque his CV bolts to 25 ft/#s and now he's sad."

You sound like you wern't around when phones didn't have a # key. It meant "number" forever before phones had a # key. Leave it to youngin's to attempt to reinvent the wheel.

Number sign
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Number sign is a name for the symbol #, which is used for a variety of purposes, including the designation of a number (for example, "#1" stands for "number one").
The term number sign is most commonly used when the symbol is used before a number; in the United States the term pound sign is catching on; the telephone key is called the "pound key". |
Either way a #(lb.) of #2 stinks. _________________ 71 Superbug

Mike, (AKA} D B M.. obviously You are just to old and have no purpose any longer.
at your age you should know that the # button is really NOT a # button.
TWITTER,TWITTER,TWITTER. IS the Shit!!!! DUDE' along with Texting not
only while driving but, also while walking blindly across the street.
He Gets hit by a LEGO engineer on his way to rebuild the London Bridge
as the Smithsonian institute is documenting his day as not only as a VW Bus
owner but, ............is also 40 year's younger than you.
So WE will have to accept the fact that 'HASHTAG is not talking about
Hash or corned Beef Hash.
Mike, I pray everyday that this NEW generation can really repair things when
you and I are gone. _________________ V.W.owner since 1967 |

Rats, I missed the boat on that one Chris. Wake me up next time beforehand.
Next thing will probably be hearing that clean and functioning battery cables are now outdated and replaced with whatevers.
