I just bought BRM replicas 15x5 for front and rear, also have two 145 tires for the front, still need to get the rear ones, would the 145's work good on that size wheel? What would be the optimum size tire for the rear, I am thinking 205/65r15, the wheels are the Empi 9675 model. Rolling Eyes

I have those wheels on my '68 Westy with 165 x 15s on them...I think it depends what look you want.

What I am really concerned is the maximum size tire to put in the rear, now I have 165's and want a wider tire so I thought about the 205's on the five inch wheel.

205/65s will work fine. 205/70s even better if you want some decent fuel economy.

A 205 tire looks awfully wide on a 5 inch rim. On my OS Cal Looker I'm running Vredestein Sprint Classic 185 70 HR 15. These are the tires the Healey guys are running, and they fill the bill perfectly.
