I was just a gleam in my parents future in 1964..
I have super 8 video of my Grandparents and Parents at the 64 Worlds Fair..
I specifically remember.. shots of an Amphicar putting around a lake or the Bay.

My family went so many times to the World's Fair. The automobile makers' exhibits were great. So was the GE "World of Tomorrow" exhibit. We liked the budget restaurant at the Spanish pavilion. I would always get the pollo al ajillo (chicken in garlic). Lots of fun. Going to the Soviet Union pavilion seemed so exotic and forbidding at the time, during the Cold War.
OOPS! Correction. The Soviet Union, as well as a lot of other countries, did not exhibit at the NY World's Fair because it was not an "official" World's Fair; it wasn't New York's turn to have one. The Soviet Union had a pavilion at Expo 67 in Montreal, which we also visited. _________________ Central Jersey VW Society

It was US Royal and it is still around, drive by it often. It has been refurbished into a modern radial in 1988.
