Is there a difference in the mount hole spacing? Could they be from a set of egg taillights rather than snowflakes?
Just throwing ideas out there, there was nothing different done here for taillights as far as I'm aware except in 60-61 when we and Italy ran 50/50 tails and we didn't have eggs, we went from hearts to snowflakes _________________ Aust. RHD 66 Type 1

The mount hole spacing is about an inch shorter than the normal ive seen and about a 1/2 inch longer than my egg and heart brackets. _________________ F#CK CANCER

They aren't stamped with a "VW" sign anywhere? I don't recall ever seeing a Hella or SWF snowflake bracket that wasn't also counter stamped "VW". Probably not a VW part. At first I thought that it may be an adaptor bracket, used to mount snowflakes on earlier fenders (dimpled split fenders?) but there are 2 problems with that; the fender hole spacing and the resulting "too low" position achieved on the fender. _________________ "Criticism comes easier than Craftsmanship"
