You can mount baby turbos to cover up the stock mounting hole.
That;s how I mounted them on my black Beetle, not to cover up the hole but to get them at a useable height.
When you have the base horizontal along the body crease they are too low to be any good as mirrors

Fixed it for you.
Ron, baby turbos are the same mirrors as the Jbugs link you posted.
Those are just a cheaper knock off of the original Vitalonis. _________________ Quick little bug, you got a Porsche motor in that?

such a funny phrase. but I used to have a set of those mirrors, PO covered the hole with bondo and some mesh. worked pretty damn well. _________________ Wash your hands

Same brand (Vitaloni) but different model.
Those are Californias, they are a bit more rounded than Baby turbos but the base of them doesn't cover the old mirror hole.
Although on my White bug you can't really see it in the pics but I just have stock plastic blanking plugs in my mirror holes.
I didn't want to weld them up.
