They may also cross or not cross at whatever rpm if the scales left and right are placed differently. There is no magic relation involved in this.

CB 2241 cam 240*@.050" .424" With 1.1 rockers
Brazil lifters (cam and lifters were broke in together and had many miles but checked out!)
G03 heads I bought from DRD a few years ago. 40x35 valves, single heavy springs, 55cc chambers.
8:1 compression
Aluminum pushrods and stock 1.1 rockers

Built it for a friend and had it in my bug for a while with dual HPMX 40 carbs, CB Magnaspark, CB 1.5" merged header with a Bugpack hideaway muffler.

It is pretty damn quick, 3-5k is its happy place although I rarely rev it to 5 because of the stock crank. It will be getting dual kadrons and a 1-3/8 exhaust with heater boxes so that might tame it a bit. A solid easy-to-build combo for the first time builder, the only problem is once you drive it you'll wonder what a 2332 will do Very Happy

Friday again.

This engine was designed to pull a freeway flyer transmission in a type 1 (4,125 R/P & 0,82 4rth) that covers a lot of miles per year. So everything was chosen with durablity and a wide torque band along with decent fuel efficiency in mind. It was supposed to be a sub 2liter engine, but I had this great old crank on the shelf and was allowed to cross the line just a little bit. As you can see from the dyno sheet it pulls more than 180 Nm from 2500 to over 5000 rpm. Which makes it a great daily driver that keeps up with traffic quite well.

Good used dual relief case, modified for full flow.
NOS 74 mm Scat steel crankshaft
200 mm flywheel. 8 dowelled and lightened 1 kg.
KEP stage 1 Pressure plate
All dynamically balanced
Exedy super disc.
Stock rods, rebuilt and balanced.
NOS Bugback 4062-10 camshaft. (240 @ 0,050”)
CB lightweight lifters.
26 mm Shadek oil pump, blueprinted.
1,3 L. CB thin line oil sump.
CB Cromemoly 8 mm head studs.
Mahle 94 mm pistons and cylinders. Balanced.
GO3 ”041” cylinderheads, 39 x 35 mm valves, Ported, (154 cfm @ 25”) Scat sgl. HD valve springs, CB Cromemoly retainers. 9,0 – 1 CR.
CB HD rocker shafts.
Porsche style adjusters.
Manton push rods.
German 009 distributor w. Ignitor module. Pertronix 3 ohm coil.
CSP 30 hp fanshroud w. doghouse & fresh air.
NOS dual 40 mm Dellorto´s on CB offset manifolds.
1½" heaterboxes. BAS 1½” ”super comp” header. 2 Simons 2” oval mufflers in line, one on each side on the engine. Very subtle sound.

Pretty cool to compare the 1915 and 2054, I find it interesting that the 1915 only made 10 more HP than the 2054 given the bigger heads, cam, and higher CR. The two engines made almost identical HP @ 5200 rpm, The 2054 has a better torque curve too 151 FT LBS to 140, again peak torque is at almost the same RPM.

I chose driveability over the last hp with the 1914. "looks" was also a player when the exhaust was chosen. If I had chosen a 1 5/8" header and 1 mm larger venturies in the carbs the 1914 would have pulled about 147 hp, maybe even 150, but would also have lost some lower end driveability.

Here's a 1968cc Kadron motor that we have running in Jake Jacome's car this year. It's his daily driver, and we also race it at the various VW events. We put a Norris 355S cam in it this year, switching from the 336S it had last year. The 336S cam made 5 more horsepower and better top-end, but the 355S is .1 second faster on the 1/8 mile with a little flatter torque curve, running at 8.74 on street tires with stock 4.12 gearing.

Had the engine out to do some tranny work, so we machined some 36mm venturis and stuck it back on the dyno. Prettty cool. Picked up a couple ponies here and there, and extended the power band out a little further without sacrificing anything on the bottom end. Little by little.. sneak a horse here, a horse there... pretty soon you have something pretty cool going on.

Not bad for Kad-powered motor, and certainly not too shabby for any motor under 2 liters.

External thermostatic controlled oil cooler. (Atomic warrior)
Dual 45 mm Dellorto carburettors, 38 mm. venturies.
Exhaust. Homemade 4-2-1 header. 1 5/8- 1 ¾ - 2” with 2½” Simons free flow muffler. All 304 stainless.

Not the most powerfull 2275 hp wise, but it has an incredible throttle response due to a conservative port volume. Almost like a motorcycle. It also pulls very nice torque in the lower rpm range.

135 hp @ 5600 rpm
192 Nm torque @ 4580 rpm.

This engine pulled better than expected. Normally the short and curvy intakes hurts performance somewhat. This one does´nt seem to care.

I'm looking to get more power out of my 1967cc stroker I don't really wanna open the case (it's got less than 1k miles on it) it's got cb super mag heads/ norris 407s cam/ cb crank 74mm/ 92mm mahl pistons/ empi dual 044 carbs (I also have a set of webbers) I was thinking super chager but can't find a kit I don't know enough to just but pieces and put a kit together any input would be great cause I got a score to settle with a duramax (it has a full banks set up and barely pulled ahead )
