Replace the timing belt on 1.8 turbo. Got everything lined up and tried to start it. It just spins like I don't have spark plugs in it. I pulled the crank position sensor and check the ohms across the pins and I get 982 ohms which should be good. I cleaned it off put it back in and tried to start it again and I get a little "puff" like it wanted to do something but goes right back to spinning. Could that sensor still be bad?

Sounds like you have bent valves if it is spinning like you don't have spark plugs in it. You had best recheck timing marks and then do a compression check, as these are very much an interference motor. 
A quick way to check for the crank sensor is to see if you have an RPM change at the tach when cranking, as that is what generates that signal for the ECU and cluster. |
