Okay guys well I will probably be picking up this project this weekend, going to be my first VW. I've been wanting a rat rod and a vw and this hits both of them.
Also, any observations about this one such as the front suspension setup or anything else that stands out from you volksrod experts?
Description from current owner:
VW RAT ROD FULL VW BODY CHOPPED LOWERED SHAVED
FRONT END MOVED OUT 16 INCHES NARROWED AND ADJUSTABLE
HAS ENGINE TURNS OVER WELL CAN CRANK IT BUT NOT FINISHED
GOOD TRANS WITH NEW BRAKES
HAS FORD MUSTANG II SEATS NOT MOUNTED
1600 DP MOTOR
Thanks,
Spencer |

Looks like a good start. I would measure the front extension, it looks more like 8 inches.

Cool windshield, interesting headlamp position. I am not sure it will light the path well, easily moved. Looks like a fun project, keep the pictures coming |

You read my mind, I love the split windshield but would move the headlights down low. Got a picture of the beam extension? _________________ Schrodinger's cat walked into a bar and it didn't.
