|
|
We my son and i are in the process of building a bug truck and have welded a chevrolet truck cab to the cabin of a 74 standard bug and now need some guidance on how to radius the bug doors to fit the rounded corners.
We saw a truck in volksrod that was similar but could not get any information on the builder….
we have posted pictures in the gallery of our project so far. |

Start by using a length of brazing rod to set your curve & then braze another rod onto it to hold the curve. Build the doors to match your brazing rod curve pattern. _________________ https://imgur.com/user/FisherSquareback/posts

Based on the gallery pictures, I suggest removing the drip rails. Gives you a nice flat vertical surface to start with. Then build your doors to the opening. You could make your door frames hold "convertible" style windows, awl hell, the possibilities are endless. Good luck. Neat rod your buildin there by the way. |
