Is it possible to use a 28mm carby gasket on a 26mm carb/manifold? any advice on fitting i.e. gasket paste, have a bad leak and I don't think i'll have time to get correct gasket as want to start it up for weekend, I suppose I could cut one out of gasket paper.

Cheers

Between carb and manifold?
There is just two Millimeter difference.
So a one Millimeter gap all around. There should be no problem.
Enough of sealing face still there I would think.

That's correct, between carby and manifold.

You could make one out of thick leather to suit your needs. Punch the holes with a 26, and 8mm hole punch, respectively. That's what I have on my car and it works fine, and I'm sure it will outlast my car Smile

you can also buy gasket material at most automotive parts stores and cut your own.

Is leather a good sealer?
I guess so, otherwise you might have issues but just curious...

It seems to be leaking out of the Throttle arm pivot rod, if that makes sense, tried checking on some of the Solex 26 diagrams.....it is leaking both sides quite badly.....rebuild? suggestions?
