That's what I was thinking.

Ooo, I like that too!

I just checked the area around the nipple on the PDSIT carbs, and there is not enough meat there to drill, tap, and put in one of those threaded barbs.

Dang...

Yeah. Holland had quite a bit of snow this year. I dropped by during the holidays to visit my family and friends. Pretty cool to see snow like that. Last I remember anything like that was when I was a kid in the early 90's. Nothing like what we had here though. 338.5 inches of snowfall. Awesome fun, but not a record.

Hahaha, then you would have died up here where we get 8" overnight, nobody thinks anything of it, and life goes on as if it never happened.

Oh yeah, and something about carburetors...

Laughing

I posted this in the performance engines and transmissions forum hoping I would get a bite. So far, no takers. I would like to know if the air bypass solenoid on the 34 PICT 3 carbs is the same part as the central idle circuit cut off solenoid on the 34 PDSIT 2 carburetor.

I found out that both the idle cut offs and the air bypass are identical parts as the 34 PICT 3 carbs. That is nice since mine are questionable. I will have to test them, but replacing them wouldn't be a bad idea, especially the air bypass solenoid.

I have both the PDSIT 2 and 3 carbs torn down. I bathed the zinc parts in a water/vinegar solution overnight to remove the mineral scale on them. It worked great. I got rebuild kits for the carbs. The only major thing left to do before reassembly is rebushing them. The throttle shaft bushings were a little sloppy. I figure some full length bronze bushings would hold up a lot better than the little bronze cap rings on either side of the long nylon bushings.
