Jehu, I remember when this thread started 18 months ago and people were giving you hell for 'chopping up' a DD panel....... I then left the grid for 16 months living on my yacht cruising the Caribbean.... I come back and now you're a star! And rightly so, man. You started with an idea and set out to make it happen, you swam against the stream and have achieved more than even you thought possible...... full props to you Jehu. It's people like you who change the world for the better.

Funny thing is I nearly bought that DD panel just before you did; I came pretty close but I'm glad you got it and not me. Anyway, I just wanted to say well done, mate.

Thanks Jehu, for the updates and video. Way to go, breaking open the warranty seal on that Tesla battery pack! I'm sure you've heard the news about Tesla giving away all their patents and technology to whoever else builds electric vehicles? Maybe they'd give you technical support, if they know what you're working on there... just saying. Wink

.. not that you're not doing fine on your own! Can't wait to see what you end up with on this project. Good going. Razz

Hey Jehu, awesome update can't wait to see what you have in store for us with the Tesla batteries, very exciting. I'm new to your project and only found out about it three or four weeks ago after searching for electric vw in google. I binge watched all the episodes and now I'm planning a build myself, I don't own a bus and had no plans on owning one till I saw your videos. Keep the videos coming, I can't wait to see what you learn and pass on to all of us.

Nice work as always! So I guess you'll be pulling them all to paint when you get to that stage? I would be tempted to wrap seran wrap on it or something to drive to shows to prevent having to spend all that time/money again! Smile Judging by all your other work I'm sure it will come out great, better to do it right than to rush getting paint on it.
