pete what did you use to hold it in the windshield? |
I used velcro. It's very strong, there's quite a bit of tension on the canvas from the straps but it still holds firm. |

U guys with no channel in the windshield frame can get a screw on one from jeep. The old Cj's had them. That is wat I used my channel faced the wrong way and I did not want to flip it, having to redrill holes and all. With a little shaping it will mount to the top of the windshield, and give you a nice mount for a sumbrero. |

I talked to B-D company today, and they said they don't think they will get anymore of the SC-003 plastic J-clip. They have other ones close, and I am waiting on them to send me over the specs of them to see if they would work. They don't actually make it, and I am thinking Trim Lok makes it.
I figured you all should know. If anybody has any other information or knows of other materials or different sizes that will fit, by all means let me know. |

Ok, nevermind. They just emailed me back and said the manufacturer is shipping out the SC-003 in 2 weeks. Sorry for that. They had told me they didn't think they would see it again. |

I just ordered 2 strips for $12.50 each shipping in 3 days. Hopefully my buggy is together this summer and the top will keep out some of the rain. I did put holes in the pan for drains - Living in Oregon requires a rain suit or top. |

Yes, the nice lady said the parts would be in stock soon and ship to me this Friday. They must be coming in early. Good for us!
EDIT: They arrived at my door 6/16/2015.

Yes, great buggy weather in the Northwest! No rain in the forecast. I'm going to build a 90% sun screen top and a Sunbrella rain cover. |

My wife looked at your post and others and we came up with this top for Kermit. We call it the "Lillypad" because frogs hide under them. He is pulling the other new addition, Tadpole. Thanks for the thread and enjoy!

Is there a certain way to enter and exit a buggy with a top? I just started to install mine. And after the initial set-up, it appears that Im gonna have a tuff time to enter then exit it.
My windshield was reversed, and I did not want to remove and drill new holes, so I purchased "smittybuilt" track for a 89 CJ jeep. Worked great!

What are you using to secure the back panels to the buggy? Im thinking marine stainless steel eye straps. |
