I recently replaced my trans mounts on my 64 and the shift coupler as they bad. Prior to replacing any of this I didn't have any problems shifting . Now I cant seem to get anything to work I have changed out my empi shifter to an OG shifter and lock out plate and no luck. I have adjusted the shifter every way to Sunday and nothing. What am I missing.

Are you sure you lined up the coupler hole perfectly with the indent in the hockey stick of the transmission.

yah everything lined up when I put the coupler on. I did notice that the shift rod seemed like it was more towards the back of the car when I put the coupler on. The trans was in neutral when I changed out the coupler.
