What is the clearance supposed to be between the rear most engine tin and the edge of the rear deck? I'm in the process of fitting some new sheet metal in my ghia and want to get this right. I guess what I'm after is how much of a gap the seal fills.

Can anyone measure roughly how far it is from the edge of their cooling tin to the edge of their deck opening?

I think you need a lowlight specific measurement.
A pic of the measurement you need may get a quicker response.

A later model will actually be good, as I am running a 1600 DP motor and am using rear metal for a later model.

I'll see if I can post a picture.

Here we go. A picture showing a gap of around 1/2". Is that good?
