What kind of fuel line is that you are using, looks sketchy |
Good catch. I used the fabric vacuum line accidently in that pic. I corrected that with fuel line. Thanks. _________________ 1975 Bay Window |

Depends on what the other end is attached to but from here it looks like the alternator wire that goes to the starter terminal. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

Got it, it does go back to the starter through the hole in the tin by the fuel pressure regulator... Thanks _________________ 1975 Bay Window |

I'm still clueless on this joker and what connects to it....

I've been researching this one as well. Mine was returned to me broken after my engine rebuild and I've obsessed about it daily. Best I can give you is the part number. 022 131 519
Also that its called a Thermal Vacuum Valve by some and EGR Valve by others.
Many posts say its not needed and there was a debate that it only appears on busses with automatic trans. I have one and my is manual and so did the poster who thread the debate was on.
Another post said it connected to the brakes somehow.

Plus I get EGR valve in some searches.

In the fuel injection section. Temperature switch Prt# 022 131 519.
Could not find a diagram with it.
I drew this one in. I would think it goes here, to not allow the EGR to operate when the engine is cold.
