I appreciate everyone that followed the build, unfortunately my racing partner had a heart attack and won't be able to race in the future. For that reason we are putting this up for sale - - tons of first class parts all new. PM me for details. |
Sorry to hear about your partner, hopefully he is recovering well. |

Thanks guys he is going to recover (triple bypass) but probably won't wheel a car again. This build was really for him so without that someone else can take it over and go whoop a bunch of 914s with it. |

I so wish I could take this project to where it is going to be. This car is going to be awesome. I live 10 miles from Infineon raceway and would love to beat the piss out if the dot com hipsters, who have no idea how to put the power to the pavement. _________________ If you take time to do it, do it right and don't be so damn cheap.....🤙🏻

So - I was sad to see it go, but pretty cool story. A father and son are going to take it land speed racing (and then road racing). So it will go on to live an exciting life. The new owner is a SAMBA member and promised to continue to update this thread so stay tuned. |

Well - many years later thought I would update this thread. The Ghia went on to go fast at the hands of the Joslin crew and ended up as the 50th Anniversary HotVWs cover car. They did 122+ on the salt and finished it out perfectly - super proud of this car. Just picked up a '69 Beetle and a new build begins!
