I had a new VDO tach refaced to look like my speedo. It was done at North Hollywood Speedometer. They have some pictures of similar ones. They can do whatever you want.

whats the cost for NHS to simply reface a tach?
i have a full set of ivory needle 50's vdo gauges that look like this- they are a perfect match to the speedo. I have 52mm oil pressure, oil temp and amp gauges.
I would like to add a volt meter and also a tach. but i want them to be 52mm as well and VDO NEVER MADE the volt meter and tach this early in 52mm. so i will have to get newer gauges and have them refaced to match. my car is still 6v too so thats another hurdle to cross. the volt meter will need to be a 6v era as newer ones read 8-14 volts. not sure how to run a 12v tach on 6v... hmmm _________________ Official 58-60 "Early Big Window" Convertible Thread & Registry

Here is the "striped" VDO tach I had NHS make for me. Initially they sent it not as I ordered it, it had the wrong needle and bezel. This is a picture I took showing them how it did not match. It was a quick fix for them and it works great. I ordered the 6K rpm as I did not think 8K was very vintage feeling. My only gripe is the back lighting is not very bright, can't really read it at night.
