So why do I care...............
The wife's first new car was a 1990 Buick Regal Gran Sport like this dealer promotional photo
Is this Buick really part of the Gran Sport heritage??
Its still here, sitting under cover by the garage where she parked it in 2005. She couldn't part with it
She would like me to bring it back to life so she can take it to a Buick gathering next year. It's like every other old car that has sat far too long. Its going to need the brake system replaced. Powertrain, suspension, tires, fuel and electrical systems. Oh yeah, the thing has a digital dash. I wonder how its held up over the years. There is ALOT of plastic on this model too. Hopefully its held up. Every so often I peek inside. It still seems ok.
I could look at it as an original owner survivor. It will be eligible for "Historic" status in 2015.
Although I will not consider a full blown resto (like I did on the Ghia) I would consider a careful refurbishment. Anyway I look at it, this buick is a money pit.
Anyone know of some good GM or Buick forums?
I wonder if Rock Auto is a publicly traded company? Ya'll might want to buy stock!! _________________ "Depression is a malfunction of the instrument we use to determine reality.”

Only by its name....
Decent lil' car for its day... no way I'd sink much money in it...and I bleed GM blue.. Time does not bode well on the plastic era cars....
Get it running and rolling and drive it.... or sell it..
Like anything.... Its worth more running rolling and stoping than not...
There is a reason the word MENTAL is in senti-MENTAL... advise the wife its really best to turn and burn it .. meaning sell it..
or...
Find a nice Bus to use the engine in... That way you she can continue some of the sentiment... towards its parts..

Running and driving ones can be had for well under $1500. _________________ Jack Staggs
