Went to look at an issue that's I've been putting off, removed window scrapper to find rust.

Anyone done a repair to top of door? is it repairable? ant tips or hints please.

The seam was full of silicon from previous owner and noticed the chrome scrapper had been modified with 3 studs rather than the proper 4 clips.

Haven't consulted welder friend yet just after some opinions please.

The rest of the door is solid although had lower section repair before.

Sometimes an area such as the top of your door can be braised. Old technique using brass rods to fill in the gaps in the metal. It usually doesn't warp the metal like welding would, because it doesn't get nearly as hot to melt the brass rods.

I had some spare doors so I cut the length of the door at the edge where it breaks over to the side of the door from the top and replaced the whole strip
