I just finished cleaning the intake and EGR system on a 2004 TDI PD diesel.
The first component( a electric controlled butterfly valve) on the EGR just after the intake pipe from the intercooler is buzzing with the Key Off
also
We have a short that drains the battery in a couple of days while not being used.
I removed the negative terminal and stuck a 12v test light between the neg.battery terminal and the battery clamp.
With everything Off the test light is lit-
( I disconnected the connector from the above buzzing EGR component )
I pulled and replaced all the fuses in the side panel and the light stayed ON so they were all good, no short
then I removed the cover to get to the lower fuse and relay panel.
The 1st. 30 amp wire( just after the 75Amp) is where the drain is.
removed the light goes Out
Anybody happen to know just what that 30 amp fuse goes to.
I have seen the fuse lay out diagram but would like to see a diagram on what the lower fuse and relay panel is used for.
thanks
