56 oval clutch slipping after fitting new clutch

Have a 56 oval which has had all new clutch fitted.
Problem now is that when i give gas it will slip Like it is struggling to cope with the revs.
I Have been told that it is probaly a adjustment on the clutchwaire.?
After having all new clutch parts it cant be that i need another clutch?Any help would greatfull Very Happy

Sounds like it's an adjustment issue maybe the cable is to tight meaning the clutch can't fully engage try backing the adjuster off.

Ok is this easy to do Never had a 56 before..in fant Never had to adjustment the clutch before.

loosen the adjusting nuts (or wing nut) on the clutch cable until there's about 1/2" or so free play at the clutch pedal.

just checked my clutch pedal and there is no free play what so ever..it is really hard.
