Sweet, thanks! Last questions. Can it be removed if wanted, and does it affect a future paint job? |

Like everything I'm guessing it can be taken off. But depends on how extreme u wanted to go when takin it off.
I talked to a rep about it an it does come off with wear and tear too, he did explain a once a year coat with it to top up on the protection. _________________ shiny paint doesnt make it worth any more |

Got some tinkering done.
Dash nearly finished. Some bits missing so I needed to find odds an ends to make it work..
Wiring also in, a couple of things need to be modified and sorted still dues to boxes of parts not having correct things. Later speedo too, og one was missing, just like the mesh from behind the speaker grill is gone too..
Had to adjust and readjust the drivers door, the wcm seals pushed it out of shape. I find them too big or the wrong shape for the doors, there is just somethin not right. I've been playing with it for a week now too trying to get it to close properly. _________________ shiny paint doesnt make it worth any more |

Been busy with life lately, put a couple of seals in, nothing fancy.
Attacked this yesterday.
It's not perfect but a whole heap better than it was..
His wheels have arrived too, but not at my house so will wait for them for now. They are a little secret..

was a mad rush to get it ready for the valla show, but no luck..
so back on the steady steady.
12v semaphores in
had to make a plate up for the carb to clear the 12v generator
lined up an penetroled the bonnet.
running boards on, ones right ones later....an really rusted but u cant tell unless u look under the rubber.
interior turned up, not correct i know but fite compared the other one. front seat top frames need some work but will do the job.
had trouble gettin it to idle from the top butterfly sticking, so a $5 carb from valla fixed that problem with a donor shaft. all the electrical works on it now, the reserve tap was rebuilt and no drips.
readjust the brakes an ready for rego!
i hope. _________________ shiny paint doesnt make it worth any more |

I admire your work. I like these markers that are on the fenders. Do they light up?

Thanks mate, the side markers don't light up, I don't even know what they are off. One is missing it's top an I'd like to find it's replacement. _________________ shiny paint doesnt make it worth any more |

I'm sure the red plastic part wouldn't be to hard to replicate, especially considering you have an intact one on the right fender. I make moulds of stuff all the time, probably a clear casting epoxy with a red tint would work ok. |

so after not having it ready for the vw spectacular, i kind of lost interest, but then had to get it done.
1st rego check he failed me on, windscreen, wipers and some brake fluid on the caliper.
only because i re-bled them 10 mins earlier.
2cracked windscreens later...
got plates!
had a play with the ride height.
but had trouble with the rears scrubbing on the triangle mount plate, so it came up a little..
bit of a rake, but doesnt look too bad. _________________ shiny paint doesnt make it worth any more |
