Having problem finding the right advise for setting the timing on my car. It is 1500 type 1 with a H engine equipped with two Solex 34 PCI from Riechert and an Abart muffler from Mr. Wob. Otherwise it is an unmodified engine.

Should I start by setting the ignition at 7,5 btdc or at TDC (static) and then check the timing at 3000 rpm and set it at ?? degrees? I have tried 30 degrees and the seemed to be a bit hot, i have to reduce the advance to a recommended 27 degrees. But I just want to be sure.

I hope for good advice.

The VJ4BR25 is the preceded the 010 and should be 28*-32* BTDC @ 3500rpm.

I have my 010 times to 30* on a 2180.
