| The Porsche/411/412 engine put out considerably more HP than low compression bus engine, ~20% more, mostly by putting out more torque. I would drive it first before pulling the heads and adding shims. Collin (Amskeptic) ran a high compression 1.7 for years in his old '73. |

I'm having the same problem. bought from pelican by part number and they are oversize. real problem when other vendors don't list od dimensions guess i'll have to call to verify before ordering from now on
