You can come to the event for free without your car, just take the ferry over. Also, contact Julio, he may have some extra spaces.

Actually, they are now charging for the ferry ride for pedestrians. $2, it's $1 for under 12 and seniors.

Hey guys - if I'm reading this correctly there are free ferries on the weekend:
"There is no fare on 10 AM, 11 AM and 11:30 AM ferries from Manhattan on Saturdays and Sundays. There is also no fare on the 11 AM and 11:30 AM ferry from Brooklyn on Saturdays and Sundays. These ferries are free to all."
I assume this means the return trip is free also.

Cool, I was reading on the website that they are now charging, I guess they lift the fee on busy weekend ferry times.

What a fun show. The kids had fun too. I hadn't been in NYC for a long time, nice to have a reason to go. Got a lot of great reactions from folks seeing the bus driving through Manhattan.

Another fantastic event, we all had a great time. Our caravan home through lower Manhatten to the Holland was a kick, the look on folks faces was priceless. Bill, we saw you tooling down 202 just after the Somerville Circle as we were turning off to go through Raritan. Good to see you all.

| Went as neighbors (i.e., walking since my van is 5000 miles away) and had a great time. We met great people, and saw really nice VW. Especially the vans, but hey that's what we love above all! |

Terrific show! This was my second year and I wasn't disappointed. What a great job by everyone who organizes this event. Getting onto the ferry and the island couldn't have been easier. If you missed it you need to put this on your calendar for next year. Lots and lots of buses, made my day seeing all those pop tops in the air.

Thanks Manny, Im working on the video first, it should be ready in a couple of hours, cars look awesome, like we never see them before. |
