Yes that's it, Maybe it is the part with the spring on the shifter stick?

I will clean up some more.

Yes same block/sensor

Also the bit in the shifter stick has a spring and open collar that may have weakened.

I will spend some time and clean up again.

Make sure that you get all of those steal wool shavings out when you are done. The can cause you problems down the road.
