How much travel does this Baja have?
What range of travel constitutes a Mid Travel Baja?
This looks to be more of a sand dune type Baja, how much travel does a slower more woods duty Baja need? |

Metric, I would call it much more of a hard desert sort of Baja. It might do fine in dunes with some paddle tires and smoothie fronts and disable the front brakes.
For woods trailing, I would think that the travel of this car would be good. More travel is good for woods too. But it would probably just need softer springs and the engine tuned to be a little less pipey. Sort of like comparing an MX bike with a woods bike.
Dan, The car looks pretty. It looks like the beam never got the outboard support we suggested and sick_boy agreed to, but got distracted from.
Are ya lookin for a replacement Mike? _________________ Richard

You might want to talk to Rick Crumb of Crumco about that. He may know of some customer who has such a car for sale.

Well its been a couple years and a couple kids later... the baja is long gone but i took the time to finish building my jeep. THEN, last year i built two cars for a couple friends which ultimately ended up with me recently picking up a playtech 4 seat chassis that needed work. So im basically where i left off + 2 seats and - motor and obviously no baja... either way IM BACK!
This car doesn't need much work and is similar to the specs of my baja so i thought id keep it in this thread unless it ends up a pita then ill start a new one |

Welcome back and congratulations on the Playtech... Oh yeah and the two new backseat riders! They have no idea how lucky they are to grow up in the dirt!
We are still banging away at the Baja. I keep thinking it will be finished some day but I have come to realize that there is no real end to this beast. _________________ Cheers!
