Since you have a BJ beam, that is the only way to go once funds are in place.

They do have the uniform inside surface to retain the strength needed, where needed.

Thank you again Andygere. So glad to hear that. It means a great deal. I have to be honest as I did have a vision while I was building it. My car enthusiast friends would say "You should do this and that" and I would come back with "Those are great ideas but". Also I thought the simpler I kept it the quicker I could drive it. Sorry if I got off the topic.

Do you have the stock Speedo? I have an Imp i'm in the process of rebuilding, chassis will be back this month from getting new pans so I gotta figure out what wheels/tires I want, would like to stay with the stock gauge if possible but hard to tell I guess how tall the tires/wheels will be, love the look though!

Hey guys I got something I think might interest some of you, I was trying to figure out what tire size to get to keep the stock speedo and everything and still have it work fine, check out this, it will tell you exactly how tall the tires you're looking at are!

http://tire-size-conversion.com/tiresizes/

Edit: and this I found on another Samba post - it calculates about how much your new tires will throw off your speedo compared to the old one.
