Hello all, Can't get front seat back release knob off of metal rod. I need to remove the install new seat covers. Any tricks to this. Thanks |

I believe that those are just a press-fit using a metal clip that fits into the knob and onto the release lever shaft. Try a bit more force.
p.s. Mine won't stay ON, so I'm replacing the knobs and clips with new ones I ordered from the Bughaus. Good luck. _________________ First, make sure it will stop; then make sure it will go; finally, make it pretty.

Here is a couple of pics of mine after I removed them. They were just press fit in, came off fairly easy. Hard to see but there is a little metal retainer clip on the rod that secures the knob.
