Harpoon Brewery Big Squeeze Shandy
Beer + Grapefruit
I was a bit skeptical at first but it is very good. I find it tastier than the lemonaide shandys.

I have had the Dogfish Head Worldwide Stout. which is about as complex in flavors and mouthfeel as a brew can be. This sounds like an absolute treat.
Beer Man: Palo Santo Marron rolls out delicious barrel
Quote: |
Sitting in the brewery at Dogfish Head is a 10,000-gallon barrel made from exotic palo santo wood from Paraguay, said to be the largest wooden vessel constructed in the United States since before Prohibition.
The palo santo tree is in the same family as frankincense and myrrh. Its wood is used for incense and aromatic oils, and some South American wineries use it to make wine-aging barrels.
Dogfish Head uses its barrel to produce Palo Santo Marron beer, which the brewery calls a brown ale, but has a lot in common with imperial stout.
The ale pours a deep, dark brown, nearly black, and forms a cocoa-colored, creamy head. The aroma is somewhat basic — roasted chocolate with a hint of hops and alcohol.
The flavor is something else, however. There's chocolate, cocoa, vanilla, caramel and brown sugar. There's a hint of something like cinnamon (the palo santo?) and smoke, and a slight wine-like tartness.
It tastes sweet at the first sip, but the finish has enough hop bitterness to cut the sugars a bit. Underlying all of this is an exotic flavor that reminded me of sandalwood. The mouthfeel is creamy and a bit oily, coating the mouth in a pleasant way — not chalky or thick.
The 12% ABV is noticeable in the finish, but not like some high-strength beers that leave a nasty bad-vodka taste. It just lets you know you're not drinking an average beer.
Palo Santo Marron uses an unusual ingredient to great effect — not overpowering, but enough to change the beer from the usual to the unusual. It moves up to second place in my favorite Dogfish Head beers, after the delicious and unique Immort Ale.
It is said that the palo santo barrel cost Dogfish Head about $140,000. It may have not been cost-effective for the brewery, but for my tastebuds, it was worth every penny. |

haven't had any since they changed the name from hop notch to hop nosh but couple years ago it was a go to beer for me. uinta has several good offerings but i've got to say one of my favorite and maybe get your friend to look for it to share is Uinta Sum'r. nice light summer brew with a great smooth flavor. we picked some up at a beer store in boone a coupla years ago and i was sad when i drank the last one as no one around here has it despite having many other Uinta offerings. i think we are meeting the same friends up there in a coupla weeks and i've got my fingers crossed for some more Sum'r...ken.... _________________ ITMC

Will do.... ^
Co-Worker was talking about wanting to try a double IPA from Uinta yesterday the Detour Double...
Uinta Beer is hard to find in variety for sure. I am going to hit a local place that is supposed to have lots of craft... from all over...
I had the Uinta Bristlecone Brown Ale once on a road trip.... just dont remember where..
He likes the IPA's the best, so I get to try them without buying a pack... I return the gesture to him with the Stouts and Darks... but he's not a fan of the Wit's and Rye's as me..
Works out well.. Ill drink them all.. .. Its the REAL Hoppy ones I struggle to make it through...

I picked up a bottle of Boulevard Chocolate Ale about a week ago. I'm saving it for around mid-September. _________________ West Virginia State Board of Education v. Barnette, 319 U.S. 624 (1943) |

For some reason, one of my favorite summer beers had not been on the shelves at all this summer, until now. Full Sail Pale Ale. Love this stuff on a hot day. I just finished cutting close to a cord of firewood. Perfect way to end the day. _________________ nothing |

I can't go without a Fosters oil can. They pour nice have a strong smell and give you a good head change not to mention you can get them at most places for $1.99. We'll throw an extra shrimp on the barby for ya! |

Pulled an August Schell's brewing Schmaltz's Alt from the root cellar this evening. It was a rough day, so I figured I deserved something extra special.

Probably already mentioned but I had some Third Shift Amber Ale out of Foat Wuth Texiss and unlike the baseball and football teams down there, it's pretty damn good. Also Sammy's Octoberfest ale, always a good one. I miss New Amsterdam beer, I guess they're still around but I haven't seen them on the left coast in years. Anyone got a line on them? I also miss Genesee Cream Ale and 12 Horse lager too. Damn east coast beers... |

Nothing like ice-cold anything. I drink whatever is on the tap. But I do love the Octoberfest.
I drank few of those Formaldehyde laden beer in South Korea back in the day.
I have also drank some of the best beers around in the Philippines... San Miguel. It is Pilsner beer. Good too.
But after a whole day of work outside, nothing like a nice cold beer....no matter the weather. |

After a particularly, and possibly peculiarly, rough time of swapping in a new-ish exhaust system on my 68 Westy this afternoon, I decided to enjoy a couple of evening beverages.
First, I poured a 2014 Sierra Nevada Bigfoot Barleywine. 9.6% ABV, and very, very tasty.
Then I had my last Summit Brewing Unchained Series Biere de Garde. I'll be in MN again soon. Need to find more of this stuff for the root cellar.
This combo packs quite a punch. Goodnight to all..... _________________ nothing |

Started with a Moo Joos oatmeal milk stout from Brau Bros. Brewing in Lucan, MN.
I am now enjoying another Sierra Nevada Bigfoot Barleywine. A delicious evening. _________________ nothing |
