What a joke. I installed those wheels on that bus and has 3 wheel spacers on the rear to hold the wheels on. But that's not the problem, the problem is 58g for a bus that has 80 and 180 grit sand scratches along with over spray all over under the bottom along with shrinking mud. Don't forget that it waves to you going down the road. So 4 year resto my ass and stop trying to fool every one on a turd |
I like how the shot under the front floor mat shows one of the stamp lines just fading away into nothing/bondo. |
That fifth line on the drivers side is often very soft. I think this is because it sits right against the frame rail.
This floor is original paint:
Same floor - blasted and repainted - no rust - no filler.
NOS floor - soft:
NOS floor - crisper than most but softer than the other lines:

^^^ Agreed. But the floor/stamping in question shows some obvious bondo waves and the stamping disappears completely. _________________ nothing |

It doesn't look patina'd to me - it just looks rusty. I disagree this Bus is a good candidate for the clear coat look.
The all new drivetrain sounds ready to go though. _________________ How to Post Photos

What cracks me up is all the preemptive defensive wording. "it is restorable just like all the other rotten barn doors..." "it's not 1996 anymore buses are expensive these days..." "I've seen slammed buses with HUGE gashes and smashed noses sell for more than they should have"
Seems to know he is asking too much. I sold a lowered patina'd (not rusty) 65' last year with new floors and new drivetrain for $10k. Probably could have gotten 12-14k if I wasn't in such a rush. But that had new floors front and rear, new tranny, 1776, brand new safari's, and a brand new front beam! |

The diamond plate cargo floor is a negative though. |
Looks like it's just those rubber shop floor mats that come in squares that you can piece together like a puzzle. I have a some of them on the floor by my work bench. |

"...only years of sun bake can make this awesome patina." I am sick of people who have rusty piece of shit bus bodies claiming that it is "patina" and it makes their buses worth more. _________________ Don't worry; be happy. (Baba) |
