Hey guys,
I am working on a '63 T-6 coupe and am working on my gaps. I have couple questions:
I know the gaps are supposed to be 3mm, but is that before primer and paint or after? Should I set my initial gaps larger than 3mm to allow for the primer and paint?
Also, my car is a Karmann body, but my hood is a Reuter hood. I have a fitment issue a the cowl. My corners match up fine, but in the center the hood is 1/4 lower than the cowl. Is this a compatibility issue?

3mm is tight so I would say finished. Any replacement panel will require fitting.
