Look for the word 'Thule' on it somewhere- that looks like my generation 1 Thule ski rack.

That would explain why every time I did a google search Thule racks would pop up. Any idea of the desirability is on this rack.

Kinda hard to tell- since they are literally a universal rack- with Euro flair. They'd look great on a vintage rallye-esque tribute car in my opinion. I paid $5 for my set at a second hand store- but they are just the bars- no basket.
