Unknown Swedish roof rack

I purchased a 58' bug and this roof rack came with it. It has a Made In Sweden stamping on it and is adjustable both side to side and the slats are moveable. I have never seen a similar rack and have been unable to track down any information on it. It fits the car perfectly and doesnt seem to be modified in any way to make it fit. Any help would be appreciated.
