The KlassicFab panels were hastily unpacked...
I've sourced a used set of door hinges for the LHS cab door and a set of WW hinge pins are arriving shortly.
Short of some information on where to position holes in the cargo doors, which hole/s to close/relocate in the speedo' pod and a RHD-only pedal box (source required), we have what we need in order to finish the metalwork. _________________ the3rdrock.com - …musings, discoveries and postulating, by a restless itinerant in search of enlightenment.

Some new parts have arrived...
A brakelight, courtesy of Bur Nur. I am still in need of a rubber seal for it...
NOS slider window catch seals...
A new decklid seal...
...aaaand a shiny new RHD driver's late mirror arm:
All thanks to Mark Lapriore.
I currently have a box of engine internals en route to my engine builder, which should allow us to produce a running engine (using the original block, 1st cut over-size), shortly. _________________ the3rdrock.com - …musings, discoveries and postulating, by a restless itinerant in search of enlightenment.

The engine build is underway, but I am still on the hunt for a thin-lip genny pulley and a round regulator...
*hint, hint*
Despite buying a NOS tailpipe, for use with my original silencer, I decided (whilst it was en route) to change direction and deviate from stock in this instance...
The old...with the NOS...
...and the new (very new, in fact) RHD (RHS exit) 30 Hp bus exhaust from Vintage Speed, with heat risers. I'm still reeling from the cost, but lawdy, every time I look at it, it makes me break out a decidely lascivious grin...
Bengt Nyberg dropped a new decklid hinge into the mail for me this week...
The correct starter button is in the mail. I've been - and will continue to be - slightly on edge, until it is safely here...
...and so, on to the latest photos of the metal effort...
I'm still not happy with the nose, so I've ordered a lower 'V' section, from KF...
...the former ventilation hack; still to be blended in.
There's still plenty to do and I have a list of things that need attending to, but it's come a long, long, long way.
Your feedback and comments are, as always, welcome. _________________ the3rdrock.com - …musings, discoveries and postulating, by a restless itinerant in search of enlightenment.

I'm in love with your front bumper
Awesome update btw! That's a nice list of parts you've acquired. _________________ My 1958 PGSG project topic |

Hi Peter,
That, amazingly, came off of a later bus. The owner had driven around with it as such for years, blissfully unaware of it. The chap who sold it to him put me onto it and the owner then, very kindly, offered to swap it with me for a later bumper in my stash. I had mine panelbeated and painted up to match and happily traded him ASAP.
Thanks for your feedback.
Kind regards,

Oh my giddy aunt!
I'm the ecstatic new owner of this [correct-for-my-bus] NOS owner's manual. _________________ the3rdrock.com - …musings, discoveries and postulating, by a restless itinerant in search of enlightenment.

Yes, yes, I know that I should have added the photos to TheSamba from the start, but alas...
The dead image links had me feeling guilty, so I've uploaded all of them to my 'site now.
Milestone achieved! The original engine has been fully rebuilt and is running. _________________ the3rdrock.com - …musings, discoveries and postulating, by a restless itinerant in search of enlightenment.
