|

Hello, can someone help me? I'm assembling the spindle/drum and the part nr 39 on the pic below is missed.
I would like to know if it's easy to find this part for sale or if it's possible to replace it with a regular washer.
Could someone please let me know the measurements of this part? Pics are welcome too...
Barndoor Spare Parts List call this part as a "extractor ring". But for me it seems like a spacer.
I really appreciate your help.

I’m interested to see photos and measurements as well. I can’t recall having run across one before.
Interesting that they picture the inner bearing spacer without a step - was there a special spacer and a special wheel bearing seal to go with this extractor?
My 53/54 workshop manual mentions them using the spacer at various intervals. |

Here you go, the "elusive" extractor ring, part number 211 405 649:
Outer diameter 72mm:
Inner diameter 55,5mm:
Thickness 2mm:
Sits flush with the inner race of the wheel bearing:

Would that ring be installed to prevent a majority of cover for the inner wheel bearing so the grease doesn’t overcome the wheel seal? Remember...these were designed with cotton grease seals. _________________ www.blastserv.com

Hello
yes I think this is the point. If you look in a later repair manual from 1959, you will find the same cotton grease seals without this extractor ring, but with a better instruction how to prepare the seasl and which grease specification you have to take (high temperature).
Greetings
