Ok did a search for undercoating wheelwells it looks like 50-50 on por 15 or rustbullet. Is rustbullet as thick as por 15? Can they go over bits of old undercoating? Does anyone want to remove the old undercoating for me?
Thanks steve

rust bullet and por-15 (and masterseries) all seem like about the same product to me (i'm no chemist, but i've used all three on my project)...all three recommend as clean a surface as you can get....POR sells and "requires" you to use it's surface cleaning products, masterseries suggests using some surface cleaning products and rustbullet doesn't suggest much prep....but i'm sure you'd want to remove as much chipping paint, undercoating, oil, wax, rust, dust etc, like all paint products recommend...if you are applying them to old paint (non of them recommend this), you will want to scuff the paint up pretty good for adhesion...i'm sure the adhesion properties to asphalt based undercoatings (an oil) would be horrible...remove all of it...

paint prep is a pain, and the bottomside of vehicles is the worst case scenario for paint prep...

I coated my wheel wells with CLEAR por -15 because I had them painted to match the car.
