A little detailing, drop spindles, new king pins and bushings,
Inner and outer window scrapers, a narrowed beam and welded on a pair of rear bumper mounts.

How narrow is that beam? Looks like shock towers haven't been touched, typically a 2" narrowed beam needs shock towers split in half

Good eye and you are absolutely correct!
The pic I posted of the front beam is an adjustable beam I had assembled to make it a roller. I then decided to narrow it.
I will post a pic of my adjustable, 2" narrowed beam with needle bearings Wink

I've built quite a few beams, and sold them through the samba aswell. I need to do a 2-3 inch beam on my 55 I'm building there is a thread somewhere here. I really don't like the avis adjusters, so ill have to tinker around with flipping the top adjuster to clear the parking brake cable housing. Great job on the build so far cool car

By the way, I've never had good luck with those urethane steering couplers worked on so many cars with them that are in pieces.

A little wire wheel, hammer and welding...
Apply a coat of por-15, reproduction rubber mats, and the chrome trim I had was too far gone Sad but I'm quite happy with the end result.

Airkewld BAD series stage 3 disc kit.
Absolutely a bolt on product. I have to trim the studs by 1/2" because of the acorn lugs I'm using to mount the Speedwell Speed Masters. Other that that, no mods were necessary and the fit and finish is top quality.

Samba post

After assembling the front end I wasn't satisfied with the wheel tuck.
The airkewld brakes, drop spindles, 2" narrowed beam and speedwell wheels, increased the front track by about 1".

2" narrowed beam pics:

So I pulled it all apart and narrowed the beam another 2". Now it's perfect. Lowered the front end a little more, an alignment and it handles and steers beautifully.
