Previous owner of the rabbit passed away, so I'm trying to figure out the wiring. I can't find the Glow Plug Relay. No power to glow plugs and fuse. Here is a pic of the fuse panel.

Also, on the transmission, there is a hole, about 1" wide. Here is a pic.

top of whats not in pic is where relay is...

wtf is that switch by batt for?

hole in tranny for tdc mark...

I have an '81 diesel pickup so the location may / may not be the same as in your car.

As was already stated, the glow plug relay is above (closer to the windshield) the main fuse panel. IIRC, it was on the left and attached with a slide-in type of arrangement.

The "hole in the transmission" is a place to view timing mark. It should have a plastic cover that screws into the transmission case with a plug that pushes into the center of it.
